Goblin Brides

If no one has yet told you about the goblins, then you must be very cautious. Goblins are dangerous creatures to cross. They are clever and tricky and numerous, and their magics are not like the magics you know. If you have daughters, then you must be more cautious still. 

You will know a goblin when you see one by the unnatural formations of their face and their body. They often resemble beasts of various types, or have skin in unnatural shades of leaf-green and brick-red and stone-gray. Their eyes may be slit like a cat's, or their hands may be clawed like a beast's paws. They are all male, but on average considerably shorter than the average human man. Despite this, they are no less dangerous. 

It is important that you learn to recognize a goblin on sight. There may come a day when a goblin will offer you a bargain, and if that day comes, you must decline. No matter how miraculous the offer, how desperately needed. It may be you who accepts the bargain, but it is your daughters who will pay the price. 

The only currency goblins trade in is brides.
